This is the only frame for which I used the green filter, I can't really see any difference form a similar shot taken without it. The difficulty in using the viewfinder is demonstrated here, with the subject being towards the edge of the frame.

Week 241 - Conway Colour-Filter Model

This is a basic box camera with the addition of a greenish filter which is engaged by means of a sliding tab. There is a focusing lever, marked "near" and "distant", but no indication of what the near distance is. The waist level finders are small and difficult to see, partly because there is some fungus or corrosion in them.
It uses 120 film, so I loaded it with some Fuji Acros ISO100 black and white film.

This is probably the "least bad" of a bad lot, again it was very bright sunshine, but the negative is pitifully underexposed.

This is the same film from last week, so the results are predictably pretty awful. This was taken in very bright sunlight, but the aged film only just managed to yield an image.

Week 240 - Kodak Instamatic 25

With 126 film being so scarce (and so old), I decided to swap the cartridge from last weeks's Instamatic 400 into this week's Instamatic 25. This is a very simple model, but it does have 2 settings for sunny and cloudy. As far as I can work out this adjusts the shutter speed, as there doesn't seem to be any difference in the aperture between the two settings.

This is probably the best of a bad lot, which isn't saying much! The camera can't be blamed, the problem is the very old film, but as 126 is now discontinued, the only film available is increasingly decrepit.

The results from the very old film were disappointing but hardly surprising. The film actaully looks to be blank, but there are very faint shadows on it, and after scanning and heavyweight "correction", the images can be made out.
