Week 165 - Werramat
The Werra series was made in East Germany between 1954 and 1968. They all share the unusual design for winding the film on, which involves twisting a ring at the base of the lens. All the controls, except the shutter release, are on the front of the camera, giving it a sleek uncluttered look. I used an earlier model in week 53, this is one of the later ones and has a coupled exposure meter, but although there is some activity from the meter, it doesn't seem to be at all accurate, so I will be using a handheld meter.

photo from week 164 - Lomo Fisheye 2
This was an unlit shop window on a Sunday morning, the single shutter speed would have resulted in an under-exposure, so I pressed the lens up against the window, set the shutter to "B" and made a brief exposure of around 1/8th second.

I had some fun using this camera, I spotted these ten green bins in a narrow alleyway, and only a fisheye lens would allow all of them to appear in a single frame.

Week 164 - Lomo Fisheye 2
This camera is an updated version on the Lomo Fisheye 1 that I used in week 39. The main differences are a proper "fisheye" viewfinder, the provision of a "B" setting, and a multi-exposure switch to re-cock the shutter without winding the film on.

photo from week 163 - Agilux Agifold
This is the stairwell of a multi-storey car park. I braced the camera against the handrail and used the B setting to make a 10 second exposure (guesstimated). Some parts of the image are reasonably sharp, in contrast to most of the rest of this week's picture.
photo from week 163 - Agilux Agifold
This weeks results were pretty poor, none of them are in focus, particularly the distant shots. This is the scene that resulted from the previous photo of the waist-level finder. I think I prefer the one taken through the viewfinder!

Week 163 - Agilux Agifold
It will be a couple of days before I'm able to develop the film, but in the meantime, here's a photo taken through the waist level finder of the Agilux. It will be interesting to see what the photo taken at the same time looks like.

Week 163 - Agilux Agifold
I can't remember where or when I got this one, it's a British made 6x6cm folder, with both eye level and waist level viewfinders.
The slow speeds are sluggish and unreliable, so I'll have to use the faster speeds plus "B".
I've put some expired Fuji colour negative film in it.

photos from week 162 - Fujica Rapid D1
The building wouldn't quite fit in, so I took two pictures instead.

This portrait orientated photo, with the camera held in the "landscape" position is a sure giveaway that this is a half-frame camera.

I managed to get 25 frames out of my re-loaded Rapid cassette, better than on some previous occasions. The camera seems to work OK, I used the automatic exposure system most of the time, and the exposures look about right.

Week 162 - Fujica Rapid D1
The Fujica D1 takes "Agfa Rapid" cassettes and makes half frame negatives. It has a clockwork motor drive, rather like the Robot cameras (but at an affordable price).
The Agfa Rapid system is obsolete, the only way to use these cameras is to re-load an old cassette, luckily this is quite easy to do, and I've put some Agfa Vista colour negative film in it.

photo from week 161 - Diana F+
Taken on the last day before the recent snow started to melt, I was expecting more flare tha this, given that I was shooting straight into the sun.

The colour shifts obtained with redscale film is influenced by various factors, this one had a different hue from the others, possibly related to the long exposure.
photo from week 161 - Diana F+
I used a redscale film this week, as I found them on clearance at £5 for three rolls. The film is deliberatley loaded so it is exposed "back to front" giving a strong orange cast and various colour shifts.
The Diana F+ has a pinhole aperture option, I used that for this photo, with the camera held steady on this stone water feature.
