The Minolta XG-M is a 35mm SLR which was given to me a few years ago by someone who was no longer using film. It is a very usable camera with aperture priority auto exposure.
I've loaded it with Rollei Retro 400S black and white film.
In 2010 I decided to start taking photos with my collection of film cameras, using a different one each week. After 10 years, and 522 cameras, I brought the project to a close. I have been writing a regular column about it in the UK magazine "Amateur Photographer" since 2011.
The XG-M was my first SLR and my introduction to "serious" film photography. There is a lot more love for the preceding all-mechanical Minoltas, but the XG-M to me is a fine camera - and the sometimes-standard 50mm, 1.7 lens is gorgeous.
